Since 1997, our family has been dedicated to sustainable farming practices. We grow fresh flowers, fruits, and vegetables for our loyal customers to enjoy at our farm stand. Our commitment goes beyond just growing food - we also provide generous food donations to local community members and food banks. This connection to the land and community is at the heart of everything we do.
Understanding Seasonal Produce Availability
Seasonal produce availability is one of the most exciting aspects of shopping at a local farm. Each season brings a unique variety of fruits and vegetables that are at their peak flavor and nutrition. By choosing seasonal produce, you support sustainable farming and enjoy fresher, tastier food.
For example, spring brings winter-sown pansies, sweet peas, locally grown asparagus, lettuces, and in June, of course, strawberries.
Summer brings abundant cut flowers such as Dahlias, Snapdragons, Lisianthus, juicy tomatoes, sweet corn, and fragrant basil. Fall offers our main crop of hearty potatoes, squashes, and pumpkins. Our family-friendly Pick Your Own Apple Orchard is open from September through October, offering hayrides, pumpkin painting, and Apple Cider doughnuts.
Buying seasonal produce ensures you receive freshly harvested produce. You will also get to know the farmer who cultivates the food your family consumes daily. Purchasing from our farm stand minimizes long-distance transportation, thereby reducing the carbon footprint of your food and supporting local farmers like us.

The Benefits of Buying from a Local Farm Stand
Buying directly from a local farm stand has many benefits. First, you get the freshest produce possible. Our fruits and vegetables are picked at the right time to ensure maximum flavor and nutrition. Unlike supermarket produce, which may have traveled hundreds of miles, our farm stand offers food that is often harvested the same day.
Second, purchasing from a local farm supports the local economy. Your money goes directly to the farmers who work hard to grow your food. This helps keep small farms thriving and preserves farmland in the community.
Third, you can learn more about where your food comes from. We love sharing stories about our sustainable farming methods and the care we put into growing each crop. This transparency builds trust and encourages healthier eating habits.
Finally, buying local produce reduces packaging waste. Many of our fruits and vegetables are sold loose or in minimal packaging, which helps reduce plastic use.
How many family farms are left in the US?
Family farms remain the backbone of American agriculture. According to the USDA, there are approximately 2 million family farms in the United States today. These farms account for about 90% of all farms and produce the majority of the country’s food.
Despite challenges like urban development and industrial agriculture, family farms continue to play a vital role in food production and land stewardship. Many family farms, including ours, focus on sustainable practices to protect the environment and ensure the land remains productive for future generations.
Supporting family farms means supporting a way of life that values hard work, community, and care for the earth. When you buy from a family farm, you help preserve this important tradition.

How We Support Our Community Through Food Donations
Giving back to our community is a core part of our mission. We regularly donate fresh produce to local food banks and community organizations. This helps ensure that everyone has access to healthy, nutritious food, especially those facing food insecurity.
Our donations include surplus fruits and vegetables that might otherwise go to waste. By sharing our harvest, we reduce food waste and support neighbors in need.
We also partner with local schools and community groups to educate people about sustainable farming and healthy eating. These efforts help build a stronger, healthier community.
If you want to support these initiatives, consider shopping at our farm stand or volunteering with local food programs. Together, we can make a positive impact.
